چکیده

One of the options to mitigate fading effects in mobile communication is adaptive transmitter gain. This paper proposes a simple technique to eliminate the effects of fading in different multi antenna set-ups by varying the transmitter gain. The multi antenna set-ups considered in this paper include Single input-single output (SISO), Single input-multi output (SIMO), Multi input-single output (MISO), Multi input-multi output (MIMO) systems. For all these set-ups, the data streams after doing BPSK modulation is transmitted together with the transmitter gain through a frequency-selective Rayleigh fading channel. The Channel State Information (CSI) is unknown to the receiver and so, before doing equalization the channel characteristics are determined using the Least Mean Square (LMS) algorithm. The average Bit Error Rate (BER)

Self Adaptive Effective Aperture for Multi Antenna Set-ups in Faded Wireless Channels

In mobile communication, a less explored technique to mitigate fading effects is based on the physical parameter of the transmitter by varying the physical dimension of the transmitting antenna. This paper deals with a self adaptive system to eliminate severe fading effects in different multi antenna set-ups by adaptively updating the effective aperture of the transmitting antenna. The system c...

Adaptive antenna selection and Tx/Rx beamforming for large-scale MIMO systems in 60 GHz channels

We consider a large-scale MIMO system operating in the 60 GHz band employing beamforming for high-speed data transmission. We assume that the number of RF chains is smaller than the number of antennas, which motivates the use of antenna selection to exploit the beamforming gain afforded by the large-scale antenna array. However, the system constraint that at the receiver, only a linear combinat...

Study of Buffer-Aided Space-Time Coding for Multiple-Antenna Cooperative Wireless Networks

In this work we propose an adaptive buffer-aided space-time coding scheme for cooperative wireless networks. A maximum likelihood receiver and adjustable code vectors are considered subject to a power constraint with an amplify-andforward cooperation strategy. Each multiple-antenna relay is equipped with a buffer and is capable of storing the received symbols before forwarding them to the desti...

Asymptotic Close to Optimal Resource Allocation in Centralized Multi-band Wireless Networks

This paper concerns sub-channel allocation in multi-user wireless networks with a view to increasing the network throughput. It is assumed there are some sub-channels to be equally divided among active links, such that the total sum rate increases, where it is assumed each link is subject to a maximum transmit power constraint. This problem is found to be a non-convex optimization problem and i...

Adaptive Multi-Node Multiple Input and Multiple Output (MIMO) Transmission for Mobile Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks

Mobile wireless multimedia sensor networks (WMSNs), which consist of mobile sink or sensor nodes and use rich sensing information, require much faster and more reliable wireless links than static wireless sensor networks (WSNs). This paper proposes an adaptive multi-node (MN) multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) transmission to improve the transmission reliability and capacity of mobile si...
